The National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) conducted an exercise drill on the banks of river Sutlej under Fazilka sub-division under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on April 13, 2022. The mock drill was conducted by the 7th Battalion of NDRF, Bathinda in which the force personnel trained the villagers to save themselves from flood with practical training.
